Mother's Day Weekend in Memphis

So my mom flew my sister and I in for Mother's Day weekend we got there on Saturday and left the following Tuesday well what was suppose to have been the plan but when my sister and I got to the airport that night to fly out I was sitting at my gate waiting to board and they made an announcement that our plane was broke and that our flight would be delayed. I was suppose to be leaving at 6:30 to fly to Minneapolis and from there to Idaho Falls. They said our plane would not leave Memphis till 9:40 and that is when I was suppose to be getting on the plane in Minneapolis so they were giving people the option to stay in Memphis for the night or fly to Minneapolis and stay there for the night so of course I opted to stay in Memphis so I could at least stay with my family. When I told Steve that I wasn't going to be coming home he thought I was playing some kind of joke on him I thought it was funny that he thought that. Anyways as I call my parents to let them know to come back to the airport to get me that I would be staying another night my mom told me that they made my sister deboard her plane so I gave her a call to see what was going on and she said there was bad weather in Chicago so her flight ended up being delayed too. So I stood in a line for about an hour and a half to rebook my flight for the next day and also had them take my bags of the plane. Anyways long story short Linds ended up staying in Memphis too and they sent both of our bags on to our destination so we had no clothes, no makeup, no straightener, no nothing but the airline gave me a little bag with toothbrush, toothpaste, and other essentials and we ended up leaving the airport around 9:30 a long and annoying 4 1/2 hours at the airport. But anyways it was a short and fun trip we did lots and lots of eating which is the one thing I want to do when I go home. I try and hit up all my favorite food places that we definately don't have out here in Idaho or to say the least no where around here. We also did tons of shopping well at least I did. I just got a job as a Pharmacy Tech at Fred Meyer so I had to get me some clothes to wear to work since I have a dress code to wear dressy stuff. We also spent Mother's Day over at my aunts house where I got to see my family that I hadn't seen since Thanksgiving and my cousin's precious little twins in which we also had a little birthday party in which they had turn 1 earlier that week along with celebrating Mother's Day. Over all it was a really good trip besides flying I was able to spend time with my mom and dad who I really miss! It's soo hard being so far away.
