Weekend in Utah

So lately the weather has been awful and every weekend I have been off which is like never the weather has been super crapy so we sit at home most of the weekend... so I had this past weekend off and I have been wanting to go to Utah and Steve hasn't because he knows we will end up spending lots of money especially with gas prices these days but I was able to talk him into it because his brother Jon and his girlfriend Lacie were going down for her friends wedding and our only other friends up here right now Ruben and Stephanie were going down also because it was there 1yr anniversary so I was able to talk Steve into it so we left Friday afternoon and went to Gateway mall in downtown Salt Lake and ate at Rumbi grill (amazing love that place its a must everytime we go down) and then we played games at the Skybox till our movie started. Steve beat me in air hockey which I should have but I kept hurting myself! I swear I am always hitting my elbows on things but after Skybox we went and saw Get Smart with Steve Carrell it was just ok nothing special. On Saturday we woke up went to eat at this mexican restaurant called the Red Iguana its a hole in the wall type of place but it is amazing! They have the nbest salsa ever and then after lunch we went to Hogle Zoo. I have not been to the zoo for so long and have been wanting to go I know its kind of a week zoo but it was still nice if it was any bigger we probably would have passed out considering it was 100 degrees so we all got a little sun we tried staying in the shade most of the time after that me and Steve went back to the mall while Jon and Lacie went to her friends reception then me and Steve went to Salt Lake Bees game its a triple A baseball team so that was fun and as close that we would get to going to a major league baseball game this summer it was super fun and nice weather and I just love the atmosphere and the food we went with our friends Ruben and Stephanie and had a blast! After the game we met up with Steve brother Jon his girlfriend and one of Jon's mission buddies and his wife and my best friend Lindsey and her husband Jake it was fun to see them its been a couple of months since I have seen them. Sunday we woke up and went and ate lunch at Red Robin and then went to see Steve's grandpa. I haven't seen him since me and Steve were dating so it was good to see him again and visit with him for a couple of hours. While we were over there we heard the ice cream truck driving down the road so Steve and I went and got some ice cream. It was lots of fun I felt like a little kid again! After visiting with his grandpa we headed back to good ole Rexburg.
