My 26th Birthday

To start it off I woke up and opened Steve's present it was a bag full of candy and of course money to get my hair done! In the card Steve said... "about 5 years ago you were sending me a package full of candy and some burnt cd's up to me at school" and it dawned on me how thoughtful that bag of candy was because that wasn't my first thought when I saw it. I have such a wonderful husband that I love very much and I definitely realized later on in the day that life is good and I truly married my best friend! So I got my hair done that morning. It desperately needed it because I hadn't gotten it done since the 1st of April for Jon and Lacie's wedding. That is probably the longest I have ever gone without getting my hair done. When I got home I got my package that I had been anticipating all week from my parents! They bought Steve and I a super nice camera. I had been wanting a better camera since we had Kinsey but didn't really have the money but my sister told me that my dad had planned on getting us a better one and one that was similar to theirs, so I went online and picked one out that I liked and it arrived on my birthday. I was so excited! I love it! Thanks dad & mom.

So I played with the camera for a little bit and then hurried up and got ready so we could go. I decided I wanted to eat Chili's for my birthday since we love that place and never get to eat there because there is only 1 left in the whole city of Portland and it isn't super close. After we got ready we headed over to that area and shopped around til his parents and grandpa met up with us. I wanted to go to Target to see if I could find a camera case for our new camera but no success but we just hung out and shopped around and played at Target! I love that store...I go at least once a week. While we were hanging out at Target just walking around I wanted to go down this one isle and on that isle they had these big hand puppets one was a pink monster and the other one was this crocodile and we were putting them on our hands and was acting like we were going to get Kinsey with them...she looked at us like what is going on...she had just woken up from a nap and was still out of it but Steve and I were having fun with them.

Later is when I had my epiphany and realized how great I really do have it! Who would have thought a trip to Target playing with toys would put things in to perspective I swear life has just gotten so busy with things that aren't important and on my birthday I was able to reflect on what truly is important and that's my family that I love so much!

After Target we met up with Steve's family and ate at Chili's...super yummy.

Then we walked around the mall since Chili's is attached to the mall. Afterwards we went out to his parent's for cake and ice cream.

Oh how I love birthday cake! So after cake we said bye to Steve's grandpa who was in town. He takes a trip up here every year in his motor home and this year he was able to meet our new addition... Kinsey!

I had such a wonderful birthday and wish my family could have been up here to spend it with me also!
