(extremely long post it's taken me about 2 weeks to finally get it done!)
Well the past 3 weeks have been crazy and fun filled days with family. The week after 4th of July Steve's sister Jen and her family drove up from Texas to hang out and to attend Kinsey's baby blessing. Steve, Kinsey and I went out to his parents that Sunday to see Jen and her family and also so they could meet Kinsey for the 1st time.

A couple days later Jen, Monty and the kids came out to go swimming at our pool it was a lot of fun and afterwards we all met up with Steve's parents and Ryan for some pizza at Godfathers. Once we got home I needed to get some stuff done so I sat Kinsey next to Steve on the couch while I did laundry and she was being way too cute so I pulled out the camera and got a few of her smiling. She has become such a smiley baby over the past month. She is way too cute when she smiles and laughs and she has inherited her daddy's cute dimples.

Lookin too cute sitting on the couch once we got home from Godfather's Pizza
So that Thursday Steve's dad got tickets to Portland's AAA baseball team so the whole family went and it was a lot of fun. We sat in the Fred Meyer suite which was nice considering how hot it was.
showing off those cute little dimples
My dad flew in that following Wednesday and after I picked him up from the airport we went downtown and walked around for a little bit, my dad wanted to go over to the area where Steve and I took our engagement pictures.
Kinsey with her pal poodle. Thanks Anita she loves it!

The next day Steve was off and boy did my dad have a day planned for us. The plan was to drive up to Mt. Hood but with my dad we have to take the scenic route and stop at every possible thing on the way. It ended up being a very enjoyable ride to Mt. Hood and we saw a few waterfalls and some really pretty scenery.
Such a beautiful view

Friday is when my mom flew in town and also our friends Tim & Janessa. Once everyone got picked up from the airport and settled we went to dinner at this BBQ place that Steve's brother Ryan found. This place is as close as I'm going to get to getting BBQ like we have back home in Memphis.
Saturday was another long day we drove up to Seattle with my parents to go to a Mariners baseball game. Seattle is about a 3 hour drive from Portland so we left around 9 that morning so we could make it to the game at 1.
We sat about 24 rows up from the third base line

Sunday was the day that we blessed Kinsey it was a pretty stressful day for me but at the end of the day it was a very good day a day that we were able to spend time as a family and enjoy everyones company. Thank you to everyone who made the trip up for such a special day!

Too stinkin cute! I just love her so much! Her little personality is starting to come out I just love every second!

We got Tim and Janessa to take some pics of us as a family on such a special day
Kinsey looking real chunky in this pic but you gotta love those cheeks!
Thanks Tim for taking the pics and Janessa for getting Kinsey's attention!
They turned out perfect!
Kinsey after we took her dress off it was super hot that day and I know it felt good to her to be naked for a little while. Love that little belly!
That next Monday we took a trip to the beach. Steve, Kinsey and I went with my parents and Ryan and Jon rode with Jen and her kids. We took them to Indian beach which Steve and I discovered about a month ago. We figured it would be the perfect place to go because it's a little more private, has a beautiful view, and its is kind of enclosed a little bit so it helps out a lot with the sand blowing all over the place especially for Kinsey's sake. The one drawback was that there were a lot of bees that day and if anybody knows me they know I'm deathly afraid of bees. As a kid I was stung by quite a few wasps at one time and so ever since I freak out if one comes near me. So I was pretty much freaking out all day because for some reason they liked me I actually had one land on my arm and I freaked out and started running I have no idea how I didn't get stung.
I'm such an amazing photographer! J/K but pretty sweet shot!

I think these rocks are the rocks that were on the Goonies not quite sure but want to watch the movie again to see
Kinsey in her carrier that Melissa got for us she loves it as you can tell she fell right asleep in it

Thanks again Melissa for such a cute and perfect gift!
Pooped after a long day at the beach, my mom was even passed out too!
So after a few long days we took a break on Tuesday. My dad took my mom to the airport that morning because she had to get back to her new job at Pfizer. I know it was so hard for her to leave but Ienjoyed every moment we got to spend together. We miss you Mimi! So the next day was my dad's last full day here in Portland so we had to take advantage of it. My dad was wanting to go up to Astoria that Monday we had went to the beach but we didn't make it up there because Steve had to work the graveyard shift that night so we decided to go up there his last day. I have wanted to go up there for awhile because that was where the Goonies was filmed and also Kindergarten Cop and my dad wanted to see where the Columbia River ran into the Pacific Ocean. Steve had to work this day so it was my dad and his girls minus my mom and sister.

We heard these sea lions from up at the goonie house so we made our way down to see them
I had such a fun day with my dad and believe it or not I have missed taking his scenic trips or as my mom says to see the biggest twine on the side of the road! Love ya dad and miss ya my days have been boring ever since you left!
That Thursday after Kinsey's blessing was the day that the last of family left! I took my dad to the airport that morning and then went over to Steve's parents to say bye to Jen and her kids. As a going away gift Kinsey farted on every single one of them first it was Brittney, then Sammy, then Owen and lastly Jen. I guess that's how we Gibson's say goodbye!

Thank you to everyone that came up to visit with us and attend Kinsey's blessing. We had so much fun and have made a lot of memories. We miss you all and can't wait til we see you again!

Great post! Kinsey looks like she has grown quite a bit from your last post. What a little sweetie. I can't wait to see her. By the way, my dad is the same way with taking scenic drives...I mean its cool when you finally get to where you want to go but my dad just loves the journey. Too funny. Our dads should be friends.
ditto what breanne said...haha
Really though I don't think we've been able to get in touch with each other since kinsey was born. She is super cute and glad she had such a special week with all of her family in town. I know breanne is looking forward to coming out there, wish I could join her!
